Update

It's been so long since I last blogged.. Have just been caught up with assignments, studying for exams, preparations for LIITA and just other stuff.. Here goes my attempt for a brief update of what's happened in the last one and a half months or so..

There was Naledi's birthday.. We did a small lil surprise thingy with a really small cake on the 24th of Nov itself.. She turned 21..

She also had a birthday dinner the following Saturday with some of her closest friends.. She planned the whole thing herself but we just had a small lil surprise for her and she teared up so much cos she was so touched.. She didn't think that there would be any surprises since she planned the whole evening..

Then there was Lynn's Bridal Shower at my place.. 3 of us gathered early in the morning, went grocery shopping, cooked up a storm and decorated the place.. It was all worth it when we saw the look on Lynn's face as she walked in the house.. We had it at the balcony of my place.. The first time the balcony is being used for any kinda party..

We had such a fun / CRAZY time.. With my older cousins there, things just got even wilder..

'Gypsy' was the theme for the night, hence the dressing you see..

I had a small tea party at my place to celebrate my birthday with people who are close to my heart.. It was one of the first birthdays I actually cooked and baked quite a lot for myself cos mum had hurt her hand, so she couldn't do much cooking.. Thank God for my auntie and cousins who were around helping as well..

Then it was time to head of to Ipoh for Lynn's wedding.. We went a few days earlier to just help her with whatever was needed and just be there with her.. Turns out that there wasn't really much to do except to eat at dinners after dinners.. haha.. Something I'm good at!! I love food!!

We drove Lynn around to get her Henna amongst other stuff done..

This picture was taken with her the morning of her wedding itself.. Before she headed off to the temple to get married.. It was a Hindu wedding..

Was waiting to head over to the groom's house for Paal Palam (not sure if I got the spelling rite).. It'a a ceremony where they'll mix milk, fruits, sweets and some other stuff together in a glass.. then all the other married couples will have to give it to the couple to drink a little of it.. I'm not sure what's the significance of this ceremony..

Then on the wedding night, the bride's family threw a BBQ at their place..

The wedding reception was on the following night.. A photo with the bride and groom..
The same day I came back from Ipoh from the wedding, I headed off for HUGE camp at Tiara Beach Resort, PD. I had exactly 35 mins to attend to my dog, clean the house a bit, bathe and pack for camp from the time I reached home to the time I needed to go to church so as to not miss the bus..

This camp was really different for me from the one I attended in 2001.. Sigh! Was it that long ago? The first HUGE I attended was right after my SPM, it was also the year I had just joined GT.. Made so many new friends and I remembered receiving so much from camp.. Even a word by PJK which I see coming through only this year.. Maybe I'll blog about it much later..
It was also a great time of bonding and sharing intimate secrets with the girls.. Many other 'interesting' events also took place.. =)
Our cell "Love is in the Air" party was just last Friday.. Didn't take that many good pictures.. Will try to upload some later from other friends.. We had a total of 44 people and 26 of them were first time visitors.. All the planning and preparations was certainly worth it.. Seeds were sown.. All Glory to God!!!

I'm all in the Christmas-y mood now.. Christmas tree is up.. Pressie for most of family members have been bought, wrapped and under the tree.. Heading out in a bit to get pressies for my parents, buy some stuff to start baking cookies.. Look's like my plan for this week is pretty much all figured out..

Yesterday - Christmas party at Jasmina's

Today - Baking, Shopping, Christmas Dinner at a friend's

Tomorrow - More baking and shopping, Dinner with Rita & Yianni

Wednesday - Christmas Eve service at Revival church

Thursday - Christmas service at GT, Lunch at Carmen's

Friday - Head off to Ipoh for the day to visit family and pass pressies

Saturday - YA Service at GT

Sunday - Christmas Dinner at Nigel's

Bliss!

Last Wednesday was indeed one of the happiest days of my life.. In fact, I felt like it was one of the best birthdays ever.. Just being around loved ones and awesome friends, it made the day truly a memorable one..

The morning started out beautiful with my dad waking me up to give me my birthday present.. He didn't have time to wrap it up so he used my blanket to wrap it for me.. typical dad!! haha so cute!!

Then I walked in to the kitchen to the smell of Thosai!! My auntie was making fresh Thosai for me just as how my grandmother used to make them for me.. When I was younger, as soon as I reached Nenek's house in Ipoh, she would make this really small crispy Thosai for me.. I used to call it 'Biscuit Thosai'.. don't ask.. lol.. So it was really nice to have my auntie make them for me cos I haven't had them for more than 15 years I think... She even made fresh chutney to go with it.. something we don't get very often at my home..

Then I spent some hours online checking my messages on facebook.. and trying to reply them all.. haha.. Felt so loved..

My childhood friend, Sawittri took me out for lunch to Delicious at One U and we had a really good time just catching up and laughing.. Then it was off to do some shopping!!!

Dinner was at Teapot Cafe in SS2 with parents and aunt.. I've been craving the desserts there for sometime now and have been wanting to take my parents to try out the food there.. So this was a good opportunity.. But it was a short dinner cos we reached a little late and I was rushing off to church for prayer meeting.. For the past one year I've been going for prayer meets and just felt that I wanted to be there even more on my birthday.. Start the day with God and end the day with Him.!!! He'll make all this beautiful!! And indeed He did!!

They sang 'Happy Birthday' for me after prayer meet.. haha.. Actually I kinda figured they would la.. hehe.. Afterall, I am that loveable.. But I didn't expect to get a cake.. THANK YOU SUE!!! So that was really a surprise!! They even surprised me by putting 25 candles for me when I only just turned 24.. haha.. Here's a picture of the cake half eaten..

Some of my dearest friends (you know who you are) who usually comes for prayer meet every week were not there last Wed.. They had good reasons but I missed them.. Would really loved to have spend sometime with them on my birthday.. But my girls were there and they made it really special.. Love you!!

My birthday present from Naledi.. She made me change into them and go out for supper in them.. And the best part.. she got me 2 pairs - yellow & red.. She knows me too well.. haha.. If I were to have chosen them, it would have been black/white/brown..

Supper was at Nasi Kandar SS2 with Resego, Carol, Naledi, Jason, Sian Jeen, Cason, Eu-Jin and Eric.. It turned from a normal makan-makan and chit-chat session into a Love Q&A session.. Found out some juicy details but it stays within the four wall of Nasi Kandar SS2..

Overall, I felt so blessed and loved the entire day.. A big shout out to all of you who just made it extra special.. Thank you Jesus for adding another fruitful and blessed year to me..

Home Sweet Home

Snootchie found a home!

Someone called up early this week and came to see him and fell instantly in love with him.. My friend says that the girl seems like she's really into dogs which is good cos I really want a good home for him.. He's so super manja so he'll need someone to pay 100% attention to him..

Glad I was not there when she came to pick him up.. might not have let him go then.. I miss him la... sigh! It's just so different with Ginger cos he wont let me cuddle him.. and I like to cuddle!! hehe..

We Plan, The Lord Directs

I decided last Saturday that I'll be going for HUGE camp this year.. The last HUGE I attended was in year 2001.. WOW! Just realised that it's been 7 years.. I'm really looking forward to it although I have an assignment due the day after I return from camp and an exam 4 days later.. So the plan is:-

By end of next week: complete HR 3010 / SM 3035 assignment

3rd Dec - 7th Dec: Lynn's wedding in Ipoh + Study for exam

That's the plan la.. Which probably means I need to start doing my assignments NOW!!!~~

Jesus Lifted High

We had a presentation last week in class and one group made a really interesting comment.

'Christians are more compassionate than other religions'.

This comment was made in a group of some 80 students. The girl that made the comment was not even a Christian. How often do you hear this? I mean this was like the first time for me. And it definitely raised a lot of questions in class after they finished their presentation. But at the end of the Q&A, the group still stood their ground that they felt that Christians are more compassionate.

I hope that nothing would ever change their view on this...

Want a puppy??

I'm looking for buyers for this Shih Tzu puppy. He's a 5 month old male puppy. Please do contact me if you're interested or know anyone who might be.

Sad Day

I'm really sad today..

I just made a decision that I need to give my new dog away... He's not getting along well with my older male dog and he's started to bite my other dog.. and it's not the playful bite.. It's pretty scary cos my older male dog is really fierce and so far it's been really nice to this new puppy.. but i'm just afraid that one day it might just loose it and attack the small puppy.. sigh! and i was falling in love with the small one already.. =(

My friend has offered to help find a new owner for the puppy..

Wrong 31st

I thought it was one of my cellies's birthday today.. Was getting ready to bake her a cake and all so we can celebrate at cell tonight..

Just realised that her birthday is actually 31st Jan.. and not 31st Oct.. haha..

It would have been really funny if we brought out a cake for her and surprised her at cell.. we would have been the ones being surprised!!!

I even spread the word and one of my other cellies has wished her already.. haha..

Addition to the Familia

My friend recently bought a puppy and then found out that she was allergic to him.. It was really sad cos I know that she's been wanting a puppy for sometime now and even spent weeks looking for the perfect one.. I know exactly how it must have felt cos I'm also now allergic to my rabbits.. My allergy developed 2 years ago.. and for those who know me really well.. they'd know that I ADORE rabbits.. been having them since I was 5..

Anyways, so she was looking to give him away and I volunterred.. haha.. I just brought him home.. Was kinda worried that Ginger might not get along with him.. but thank God he's getting along fine with the new puppy..

Open Hearts

My face feels so clean now! =)

Just came back from my free facial at Clarins. Mum got a voucher for her birthday and she gave it to me so I gladly took it la. Lol. It was just so relaxing and my skin feels more radiant now.

My appointment was at 230pm but I reached 1U at 150pm so decided to just walk around and while walking around Jusco I met a high school friend. We chatted for a bit then decided to go get something to eat. I remember when I was back in high school, we were just the hi-bye friends.

Surprisingly we were able to connect really well. We both had similiar life experience so I was able to understand all that she's been through.

We exchanged numbers..

Then the HS reminded me about our prayer yesterday at prayer meeting when we prayed for the Cell Christmas Party on Nov 19th so I decided that I'd invite her. She was so opened to the invitation and even saved the details onto her phone calendar. It's just amazing how God's open doors of opportunities.

I'm looking forward to more opened doors!

Faith

I followed PJK after my class today as she was sharing at a breast cancer support group.. I was so blessed to hear the testimonies of those who are now cancer free and those who are now in the midst of their battle.. Their faith in believing God to heal them really touched me..

Hope

My cousin sent me a message two days back.. It read..

"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength" Isaiah 40:31

She rarely sends me messages so it was really nice to wake up to this particular verse.. Then we had cell at night and the topic was also on hope.. Then I went to service this morning because I was serving in AV and the bible verse that was put up during service on both the left and right screens were.. (you guessed it right!) Isaiah 40:31..

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.. You know what I mean.. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.. haha (sorry inside joke)

Thank you Lord for that reminder.. I will put my hope in You.. At times when it just seems too tough, too tiring and just too overwhelming.. I will put my hope and trust in you..

Mamak

The funniest incident happened last night...

A few of us went for mamak after the awesome prayer meet and was there up to 1am chatting.. we then realised that the waiter serving our table was quite smitten with one of my friend.. towards the end of our mamak-ing session, the waiter and his friend were whispering to each other whilst staring at my friend and heading towards our table.. we were quite curious as to what they were whispering about..

Suddenly, they just burst out in laughter and ran off.. i repeat-RAN OFF!!

We had no idea what was so funny.. it tooks us awhile before we realised that they were actually trying to gather up some guts to come and talk to her.. we were all so blur at first cos we hadn't seen this since primary school..

It was a good night!!

Petrol Prices Reduced

I was wanting to pump full tank the whole day today.. But somehow I just kept forgetting.. Bet it was the Holy Spirit's work.. =)

Adapted from The Star

KUALA LUMPUR: Petrol prices will be reduced by a further 10sen to 20sen from Wednesday.

RON 97 petrol is reduced by 15sen to RM2.30; RON 92 petrol is reduced by 10sen to RM2.20; and diesel is reduced by 20sen to RM2.20.

A post on the Prime Minister's Office website (wwww.pmo.gov.my) said the decision was made following the marked drop in the global oil price of late.

"The lowering of the fuel prices is also made to speed up the reduction of retail prices so that the people will be able to enjoy the benefits sooner," the post added.

The statement was signed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

The previous two reductions were on Aug 23 and Sept 24.

Dance class was super-duper fun last nite!!!!

There were 9 of us.. we reached about half hour late.. cos last minute lots of changes in travel arrangement.. but dance instructor was sweet enough to let us stay an extra half hour to make up for the time we lost..

Hope next week is as fun!!

Geeeraaaammmm!!!

I just came back from my International Marketing Management class. Gosh! It was so bad!!!!

My group was told to do our presentation on 'Exports of Australian Lamb to Saudi Arabia' today.. which should have lasted no more than 20 minutes.. There were suppose to be two groups presenting on the topic and my group went first..

After each slide, my 'dear' lecturer would ask the 2nd group what they're answers were.. and then he would give input as to what our answers should have been.. basically all our answers were wrong.. all of them!!!

The lecturer's answers and explanation didn't even make sense to me.. and I thought I was the only one but I later found out that the whole class thought so as well.. Some of his answers were not even in line with the questions..

Sigh!!! At least we were not marked on this presentation..

He was so long-winded that we ended up doing our presentation for one and a half hours.. The second group didn't present in the end because we were out of time..

I guess for my finals.. I would need to think like him and answer my questions according to his logic and not mine.. Because if I answer them according to how I understand it, I might probably get it all wrong..

A Night for just Praise & Worship

I love to Worship God, and i am so looking forward to this Friday's Worship Night “Proclaim His Power”. Its just an awesome encounter when you come together with the church and just sing songs of adoration and praises and just spend time in the presence of God!

First of all Worship Night, is not a Concert and neither is it a Presentation of Songs. Its a night where anyone can come into Maranatha Auditorium and enjoy the awesome presence of God as believers; and all over the church we can freely sing praise and worship songs to God!!

We are expecting God to supernaturally touch everyone present on that night, regardless of the need, the situation or the level of belief.

We will not be singing many new songs, but rather the musicians have quite cleverly added ”new arrangement” to the music of familiar songs that we mostly know and sing in churches. We wanted the praise & worship to be interactive, where we can all Sing together, and easily close our eyes and lift our hands in Worship and dance in celebration praise!

The night’s thrust is taken from Psalms 145:3-5

Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;

His greatness no one can fathom.

One generation will commend your works to another;

They will tell of your mighty acts.

They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty,

And I will meditate on your wonderful works.

My First Mission Trip

I've signed up for the Sri Lanka missions trip and will be going along with a team of seven on the 29th of Sept to the 5th of Oct.. It's been a week of mixed feelings - excitement, stressed, anxiousness, nervousness...

It's going to be my first missions trip.. I'm not sure on what to expect but am just trusting that God's going to move powerfully... and I'll be transformed..

I've never really thought that I would go for missions.. It was a very impulsive decision.. and now I'm glad I made it..

Must learn more about the nation of Sri Lanka.. God has already placed a burden in my heart for this country..

I'm really happy with the team that I'm going with.. I believe that we're all going to bond very well.. We've been meeting up weekly for prayer to prepare for the trip..

Will write more soon.. Very tired now.. Gonna head to bed..

Yesterday at Cell

It was a good time of sharing on how we can reach out to our neighbours and be a testimony to them..

The night started with Ai Li doing ice-breakers.. We played this really fun, confusing card game.. For someone who doesn't really enjoy doing ice-breakers, she really did an awesome job..

It was also Ai Li's birthday last Tuesday so we had a belated birthday celebration for her at cell..

Tiffany pouring her heart out in a prayer of blessing for Ai Li

Praise God for 3 new visitors.. Andrew, Qi Wen and JD (that's Yimi in the pic though)

Esther and Clement being very 'candid'

Qi Wen helping himself to the 'birthday custard'

Fresh from the oven

My auntie from Ipoh and 3 of my nieces from Sri Damansara will be coming to stay over at my home tomorrow till Monday.. I won't be around as I'll be going to Ipoh for Sam and Shanti's Ipoh wedding dinner.. hmmm.. still need to sort out whether I'm gonna be wearing a saree for the dinner or just go in a punjabi suit or a dress..

Anyways.. this just came out from my oven..

Amma asked to make some cakes and cookies to keep in the house for the girls when they come so they have something to munch on.. Been wanting to make a chewy like chocolate chip cookie for the longest time.. and while surfing the net I came across this recipe from Martha Stewart.. the recipe seemed simple and believable enough so I decided to try it.. Thank God it turn out nice.. Although I think I'll modify it a little the next time I make it cos I found it a wee bit too sweet this time...

I thought I had enough chocolate chips but the recipe asked for 2 cups, so I substituted the 3/4 cups that was lacking with chocolate rice..

This is actually my first time making chocolate chips cookies this big.. usually I make them in small bite sizes but thought a big cookie would be fun to eat.. I found that I actually prefer the cookies this size..

Last week for cell I made a Baileys Cheesecake.. After tasting it at Apartment, The Curve, I loved it and decided I'll try one myself since I had Chocolate Mint Baileys at home.. So I surfed the net for so long for the perfect recipe.. Most of the recipe uses nearly or more than 1kg of cream cheese which I think is just too much.. especially for a first time try.. So I halved the recipe to 500g of cream cheese...

The Outcome:

I didn't like it at all..

My cousins said it was ok just that it was a bit overcooked..

Cellies didn't input much... But those that did said it was ok..

I don't think I would ever do that recipe again.. That's the thing with recipes online.. Some work out great and some just don't.. So it's best to do it in small portions so nothing is wasted..

Menu to do tomorrow for the girls.. A cake (haven't decided on what type yet) and probably Pulut Hitam Kanji.. Since I have lots of Pulut Hitam at home..

Sam weds Shanti

A few pictures from Sam and Shanti's wedding last saturday nite..

Ps. Danny Guglielmucci makes a statement

Article below adapted from AdelaideNow

THE father of fallen pastor Michael Guglielmucci, Danny, read this brief statement to a packed congregation to explain his son's actions.

"Today is a very sad day for our family and church family.

For many years our son, Michael has suffered from unexplained illnesses. We have been worried as we have seen him suffer and spend periods of time in hospital.

Two years ago our lives were totally turned around by the sad news of our sons' cancer diagnosis. The love and support shown by our local church and all of our many friends around the world helped us get through a very difficult situation.

During the last two years we have experienced the favor of God, his love and grace, and also the constant pain of the possibility of losing a son.

On Tuesday 12th of August we received a call to come and meet with Mike and Amanda but weren't ready for what we were about to hear. Mike began to share how he has lived a lie for the last 16 years of his life because of addictive behavior he couldn't break free from.

He loved God and would throw himself into prayer, worship, and serving God with full energy and enthusiasm but still couldn't break free.

In September in 2006, Mike had an accident and went to hospital. It was at this time, because of his torment of living a double life, Mike thought he could escape the pain by creating a diversion from his addiction to adult pornography, so he created the cancer scenario.

The pain of this addiction was so deep that he started something he couldn't stop and proceeded on a downward spiral that led to him experiencing pain and suffering that resulted in constant vomiting and many other symptoms of a genuine sufferer.

Sharonne and I witnessed these episodes and pained and wept over his suffering. Michael wrote the song Healer because he wanted God to set him free from his addiction but hid it behind the lie of a fabricated illness.

Once he had started down this track he felt he couldn't stop so he continued to act out this sickness, feeling he had gone too deep into the lie.

I can't begin to tell you how much this is hurting us on the inside. A few weeks ago Mike had a dream of Jesus on the cross looking down on him saying, 'the truth will set you free' and so he decided to confess and bring everything out into the open.

I immediately contacted our National Executive and submitted to their advice and council. Church, our family needs your prayers at this time. We are so, so sorry to bring you into this.

I have lead you with openness and integrity and declare that we have not lived a lie before you. We fully understand the questions, shock, disbelief and even anger you may feel over this announcement. Please pray for us and we will pray for you.

Michael is struggling with a different kind of illness and is receiving professional help and will do so as long as is needed. On the council and advice of our executive and board, after our up and coming Edge conference, we will take time to be with Mike and get him all the professional and spiritual help he needs to come to full recovery.

We have an amazing team. Thank you, executive, board, staff and church, for your love and support. We will do what is right before God and man and see this situation turned around for the glory of God. We love you. "

Ps. Mike's statement on his fake cancer battle

God tells us that He is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. It is only by His grace through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that we will ever be whole though certainly not in this fallen world, not in a life lived in this flesh. But to those who repent, there is hope and true healing.

The Biblical God is the God of a second chance - with accountability, healing and gradual restoration

Article below was taken from AdelaideNow

THE disgraced pastor at the centre of a fake cancer scandal has spoken for the first time about his "secret life of sin".

But fallen pastor Michael Guglielmucci only released a brief statement to explain his actions, four days after The Advertiser revealed the truth of his two-year web of lies.

The statement was read to a packed congregation at a pentecostal church his father, Danny Guglielmucci, founded - Edge Church International at Reynella.

Mr Guglielmucci says the reason behind his fictitious cancer story was to hide his 16-year obsession with pornography.

"It is with much pain and sadness that I make this statement today," he said in the statement.

"For over 16 years I have struggled with an addition to adult pornography as a result of this secret life of sin my body would often breakdown.

"I'd report the cause of my symptoms simply as illnesses and I've thrown my life into a ministry for many years trying to compensate for my sin.

"I believe that I do love Jesus and I know that he loves me and it is this love along with the prayers of people around the world that bring me to this place of confession.

"Two years ago, I reported that I was suffering from cancer, the truth is that although I was ill I did not have cancer but was again using the misdiagnosis to hid the lie that I was living.

"I know in my heart that it is the truth alone that will set me free and this is the reason for my confession.

"I've dishonoured God, my wife, my family and the church and I take full responsibility for my actions and would like to make it very clear that no-one else was in any way aware of my double life.

"I'm fully commited to a process of discipline, recovery and restitution and will see this process through to what ever extent is necessary.

"I am deeply sorry and pray that you will find it in your hearts to forgive me.

"Currently I am undergoing professional medical assessment and evaluation to help identify and begin to treat the real and much deeper issues.

"Please continue to pray for my wife and I and my family as we have a long, hard road ahead of us but a road that I'm thankful to God that I'm finally walking."

THE Sunday Mail revealed today that Guglielmucci has been addicted to pornography since the age of 12.

The disgraced pastor's father Danny Guglielmucci said the "severe addiction to pornography" was part of a bizarre double life his son had been leading.

Mr Guglielmucci said Michael had made a full confession to his family about his past, including revelations about the 16-year porn obsession and the lies over his supposed battle with terminal illness.

In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mail this week, Mr Guglielmucci also revealed:

HIS son has been suffering "mystery illnesses" since the age of 12.

DOCTORS gave his parents the option of admitting him to a psychiatric ward for assessment as a child over the ongoing "illnesses", but they refused.

THE family's "absolute shock" at discovering Michael was not terminally ill.

Mr Guglielmucci said he and wife Sharonne – who founded Edge Church International – were struggling to comprehend what their son had done.

"When (Michael) rang me last Tuesday, I was on my way to New Zealand," Mr Guglielmucci said.

"He said, 'Dad you've got to come and see me'.

"I said to my wife, 'Maybe the doctors have told him he's only got a few weeks to live'.

"So we cancelled everything and jumped on the plane and went to see him in Melbourne, and that's when he told us the story.

"We were just in absolute shock and we still are. We haven't had time to get our head around it. He said, 'I don't have cancer. I've had two lives that I've lived'.

"His wife (Amanda), who has been with him for seven years, found out the day before we did and she's had no idea.

"Michael has had a severe addiction to pornography. The addiction to pornography started when he was 12.

"It's horrendous because we don't have that sort of stuff around. He was raised in a Christian home; we've never brought that stuff into our home."

Michael Guglielmucci was one of Australia's highest-profile Christian preachers, inspiring hundreds of thousands around the world as he performed his hit song Healer with an oxygen tube in his nose.

He was a pastor with Planetshakers, Christian youth movement that began in Adelaide and has grown into an international ministry. Guglielmucci was based in Melbourne.

But that all came crashing down this week when his deception became public.

Mr Guglielmucci said his son finally confessed after the guilt of his lies and addiction became overwhelming.

"He lived the two lives and he would get sick as a result of the guilt," he said.

"He was feeling like he was letting God down, letting his family down, his church, his friends.

"He's been living this for so long, feeling like he's had these two lives and now he's the one that's come out in the open. He confessed it, he didn't get caught.

"To deal with the guilt he would pour himself into doing good work. He's touched the lives of young people all over the world. Now they are all affected by this.

"He hasn't done this for any reasons that have been portrayed that he's a fraud.

"It was either keep pretending or come out with the truth and tell everything. He's come out with everything but now we've got the consequences of it all.

"We have to accept it. We're hoping to share with our congregation how it all started and how it got where it is.

"We understand people's anger, we understand their questioning.

"There's so many questions.

"An addiction like this is not going to be fixed overnight. You can't have a 16-year problem and fix it in a week."

Mr Guglielmucci said his son was undergoing psychiatric assessment with Adelaide doctors.

"They have said to me that he is very ill. They are assessing where reality stopped and fantasy kicked in and what's caused all this," he said.

"The doctor believes that at times Michael was totally convinced that he had this sickness."

Mr Guglielmucci said his son had a long history of "mystery illnesses", starting in childhood.

"When he was about 12 he did vomit all the time, he'd get really really sick," he said.

"He was in the Adelaide Children's Hospital for seven weeks at one stage; he didn't eat and we thought we were going to lose him.

"They took out his appendix, thinking that it might be that, but they realised that it wasn't.

"They gave us the option of putting him in a psychiatric ward to see if there was something psychological but we felt uncomfortable with that at the time.

"We signed him out from hospital and then he would go a few months and then he would get sick again.

"We'd always take him to hospital; we'd always do the proper thing but they couldn't get to the bottom of it until now."

Mr Guglielmucci said he and his wife were in "absolute shock" to discover their son was not terminally ill.

"We have watched our son go through what we thought was cancer," he said. "My wife and I, over the past two years, have watched him vomit in buckets, having nosebleeds, and even his hair fell out in clumps at one stage.

"Every time we saw him, we saw symptoms. He stayed with us for a while where we had to put a special air-conditioner in one of the rooms because he would heat up so much in the middle of winter.

"He had this cold air-conditioner blowing on him to try to keep the heat down. As a professional minister I've stood in front of my congregation and cried and said to pray for my son.

"I've travelled the world asking people to pray for him. Can you imagine what a horrible thing it would be if I was playing a game?

"To be honest, I ask myself as a father, `What did I miss, what did I not do? What could I have done better?' "

Mr Guglielmucci said Michael's wife was "getting really good counselling".

"She's not made any decision at this point," he said.

"It's happened so quickly. There's so many questions."

Healer

You hold my every moment
You calm my raging seas
You walk with me through fire
And heal all my disease

I trust in you
I trust in you

I believe You're my healer
I believe You are all i need
I believe You're my portion
I believe You're more than enough for me
Jesus, You're all i need

Nothing is impossible for you
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible for you
You hold my world in your hands

~Mike Guglielmucci~

I met Mike at 2001's Huge Camp at Penang.. And when a friend told me of this song and it's story.. I felt really sad..

Mike's been diagnosed with the final stage of cancer.. When his doctor told him of this.. he went home and just locked himself in his room and started break down and worship God... As he was worshipping God, this song Healer was birth..

Nothing is impossible for you Lord...

Cell last night...

...was a really good bonding session with a pretty good turn out of 7.. With the multiplication that took place 3 weeks ago.. the dynamics of cell has changed.. (not so many lame ppl now... hahaha) so last night was great as we got to spend a lot of time just chatting and getting to know each one better.. I believe that God has awesome plans for this cell and I really really deeply thank God for those who have been coming so faithfully... you're really an encouragement to me..

Sometimes it can be really discouraging when we continue to try and connect to friends to no avail... But God reminded me during the week and I shared with friend that if God can be so ever patient with us (especially me) and never give up on us.. we too must not give up on those He has placed a burden in our hearts for.. So don't give up ya.. =)

On a happier note.. towards the end of cell.. 2 of my really good friends from high school gave a pleasant surprise by dropping by.. Was so gr-r-reat seeing you girls..

New Phase

Last Friday was our last combine cell.. It was a joyous moment as we finally are moving towards multiplication but at the same it's hard to part from dear ones that I've become so close to in this past year..

I joined this cell 13 months ago and I'm glad I chose this particular cell.. It was so easy to fit in as everyone was so warm and really took the trouble to make sure I felt comfortable and welcomed.. I cherish the bonds that I've formed with my cellies..

God has really blessed our cell with the numbers as well as the leaders.. I've learnt so much from my peers in cell.. and still am learning.. This is my first ever multiplication and I must say that I wasn't a big fan when they idea for multiplication was thrown in few months back.. In fact, I was not for it at all.. But as time went on, God changed my heart and I realised that there was a need for it.. A healthy cell is one that multiplies.. and multiplication is one of the best things that could happen in a cell... So PRAISE GOD!!!!

I'm really looking forward to cell next Friday.. It's gonna be exciting to see what God has in store for both our cells.. I must say that it's a little scary as we're starting of as a new cell.. But with God for us, I believe with all my heart that all will work out well.. Although we have multiplied.. I believe that we will still remain very closely knit and still be involved in each other's life..
